How to volunteer

Volunteering in the UK

Are you interested in volunteering? Volunteering is a huge part of FSF and we are always interested in hearing from people who would like to help our cause. Volunteering can take many forms, with fundraising often the easiest and most effective way of showing your support.

We’ve had people skydive, walk for hundreds of miles and go without sleep for 50 hours – but don’t worry, you don’t have to be extreme like that if you don’t want to! If coffee mornings and cake sales are more your cup of tea (pun intended) then that’s great too.

Visiting The Gambia

If you are going on holiday to The Gambia and would like to visit the FSF projects, make a donation of resources or make a financial donation then please contact us before your arrival in The Gambia. This means that we can inform our FSF representative in The Gambia to arrange your visit at a time that is convenient for the school and yourselves or to organise for any resources to be collected if you are not planning a trip to Kwinella.

Please note that if you turn up without contacting the charity first this could hinder your chances to see FSF’s great work because FSF ensure the safety of all children first by taking permission from the school authority that visitors are permitted at any given date and time.
